Accounting Clerk (On-Site)
Humble Carriers is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. In this on-site role, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including entering invoices, verifying data, and managing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Prepare general ledger entries and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Generate and maintain accurate financial reports, such as accounts receivable aging reports and general ledger reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation as needed.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
- Provide support to other accounting team members.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting clerk role.
- Proficient in accounting software like QuickBooks Online or similar programs.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles (GAAP) is a plus.
